Father Hermerding was called to St. Luke's in 2009 to serve as curate and chaplain to the Day School.   Before seminary, Fr. Hermerding received a BA in theology from Wheaton College in Illinois.  In response to a call to ministry that he has recognized since his early teenage years, Fr Hermerding entered Gordon-Conwell Theological seminary, and completed his preparation for ordination in the Episcopal Church at Nashotah House, receiving the M.Div. degree in 2009.
