Cub Scout Pack
Cub Scouts Pack 14 is open to all boys in first through fifth grade. The Pack goes on two campouts a year, one in the fall, and one in the spring. The fall campout is typically at Avondale Scout Reservation in Clinton, LA. The spring campout is typically at Mary Ann Brown Nature Preserve in St. Francisville, LA. The pack also has yearly races for pinewood derby and rain gutter regatta where the boys build their cars and boats and race with their friends. In December, the pack spends a night on the USS Kidd. In February, the pack celebrates the birthday of scouting with a Blue and Gold Banquet that includes ice skating and a cake decorating competition. The pack concludes the scout year in May with a pizza and pool party.
With the guidance of their parents and leaders, boys will learn to respect themselves, respect others, develop a love of the outdoors, and have a lot of fun along the way! Cub Scouts is a family-oriented activity. Brothers, sisters, parents, grandparents are welcome to join us at all scouting activities. The pack meets once a month in Witter Hall on Tuesday evenings where they participate in crafts, games, and learning scout skills. Boys are divided by grade into "dens." Dens typically meet twice a month and work on rank-specific requirements. For more information, please contact Cubmaster Randy Rouyer: email@example.com

Scouts in Troop 14 enjoy camping, canoeing, hiking, providing service to others. Earning merit badges gives scouts exposure to a wide variety of subjects including, but not limited to, sciences, the arts, civics, the economy, transportation, health safety, and first aid. Troop 14 has several exciting scouting activities regularly scheduled for our boys, including week-long organized scout camps in winter; and in summer, spring canoe trips, a summer beach trip to the gulf coast, a winter historical hike in the National Battlefield Memorial park in Vicksburg, Ms., weekend camping at the council scout reservations, and nearby state parks, and national forests. Plus lock-ins, bowling and mini-golf. Our Scouts also make periodic treks to the four Boy Scouts of America High Adventure bases, most recently Philmont Ranch in New Mexico and Sea Base, St. Thomas and St. John, U.S.V.I.
