A message of thanks from our Senior Warden, Jim Thomspon

Updated: Jul 15, 2020

Dear Members of St. Luke's,

I wanted to give everyone an update on our financial situation at St. Luke's.

As you may know, we applied for and received a $99,500 loan through the Payroll Protection Program. This has been a very important aspect of our financial well being as it has allowed us to retain all employees and continue to provide the services you have come to expect as parishioners.

However, while the loan has been very helpful, your continued support for the Parish has been absolutely critical. We know many of you have been affected financially by COVID-19 and therefore keeping up with your pledge and normal giving patterns may have become difficult. We are also aware of those who have not been affected financially and have helped "close the gap" with increased giving. I am happy to report that through the first half of the year, we are only 8.5% behind budget on our regular offerings. Our budget was $414,000 and we have received $378,922. That's very good news and a powerful testimony to the love and faithfulness at the heart of our church family.

To those who have been able to give and meet your pledge, we thank you. To those who are able to give and have forgotten, please consider resuming your pledge and levels of giving. To those who have been unable to maintain your levels of giving, we completely understand and pray that your financial situation improves.

I am grateful to all of you for your love, your prayers, and your support for our beloved St. Luke's. If you feel safe attending church services again, I hope to see you in church soon. And in the meantime, may God bless you and your family as we continue to maneuver our way through this health crisis.

Faithfully yours,

Jim Thompson
