Join Fr. Chris for a midweek reprieve. Midweek Motivation features 5-10 minute noonday prayers, followed by an introduction to Christian Meditation (sometimes called Contemplative or Centering Prayer). Stay for as long or as little as you'd like.
We've moved across to the ad-free video platform called "Vimeo." It's a clean and simple video platform that will make it easier for you to access our live and recorded content.

Romans 5.1-5 (NRSV, followed by a brief reflection)
Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have obtained access to this grace in which we stand; and we boast in our hope of sharing the glory of God. And not only that, but we also boast in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.

A Prayer During Time of Anxiety (Adapted from the Episcopal Peace Fellowship)
Eternal God, You abide though all things change. We are anxious and fearful, and we turn our hearts to You,
looking to You and leaning on Your strength.
It is written (Psalm 84:5):
"Blessed is the one whose strength is in You."
Bless us now with faith and courage. Help us to feel that You are with us, steadying and sustaining us with the assurance that we are loved.
Be with us and bring us hope, that in the days to come, our aspirations may be fulfilled for our good,
and the good of those we love who depend on us.
Banish our fears with the sense that you are always present,
to uphold and sustain us, as it is written (Isaiah 41:10)
"Have no fear, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will uphold you with the power of My righteousness." Amen.
