Nursery reopening this Sunday 10:00 am – 12-noon for children 0-3 years
Christmas Eve availability from 2:30 pm (for the 3:00 pm service) and through until the conclusion of the 5:30 pm service
We welcome families back to the nursery this Sunday with a newly painted and refreshed nursery space! There are new linens in the cribs, and our nursery workers are trained up with our new cleaning protocols and procedures. We pray this ministry of hospitality and care may enable some who feel comfortable attending, in-person, to know we have a safe space ready to welcome your children.
Our guidelines have been reviewed by a physician and follow the Louisiana Department of Education and Episcopal Diocese of Louisiana protocols
HEPA grade air filters have installed in the nursery and the facility will be thoroughly sanitized before opening each Sunday and after each hour of open time
Staff will be screened and wear masks at all times. The nursery team will follow state protocols regarding hand hygiene, the use of gloves, and the feeding of children
Parents, when dropping off your child: please wear your mask at all times, enter the nursery one at a time, and use hand sanitizer on arrival
Parents, please bring suitably prepared bottles of milk/formula for infants or wrapped snacks for toddlers children
Children who have a fever of 100.4 degrees F or above or other signs of illness will not be able to enter the nursery
Children of nursery age should not wear masks. Any child with a severe underlying medical condition may be at higher risk from COVID-19
In permitting your children to use the nursery at St. Luke's, you acknowledge the contagious nature of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 and that the CDC and many other public health authorities still recommend practicing social distancing. St. Luke's Episcopal Church has put in place careful preventative measures to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus/COVID-19; however, St. Luke's cannot guarantee that you or your children will not become infected with the Coronavirus/COVID-19.
Children's Church resumes this Sunday during the 10:30 am Eucharist!
Join us in-person for fun activities and story time during the Ministry of the Word. Children will return to the worship space at the Greeting of the Peace. Please have your child wear a mask, remind them of the need to practice social distancing, and use hand sanitizer before arrival. Children will meet outside Pope Hall at 10:25 am and have activities outside if the weather is fair. If not, activities will be conducted in Pope Hall led by masked, screened volunteers.
