Thank you for joining Fr. Bryan for a Gospel Reading, Reflection, and a Litany of Healing for use during the time of the COVID-19 pandemic. This week's healing service we will observe the Feast Day of Constance and her Companions (the Martyrs of Memphis).
ORDER OF SERVICE
Grace and peace be with you, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. And also with you.
Let us pray.
We give you thanks and praise, O God of compassion, for the heroic witness of the Martyrs of Memphis, who, in a time of plague and pestilence, were steadfast in their care for the sick and dying, and loved not their own lives, even unto death; Inspire in us a like love and commitment to those in need, following the example of our Savior Jesus Christ; who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
Jesus said: "I assure you that unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it can only be a single seed. But if it dies, it bears much fruit. Those who love their lives will lose them, and those who hate their lives in this world will keep them forever. Whoever serves me must follow me. Wherever I am, there my servant will also be. My Father will honor whoever serves me. Now I am deeply troubled. What should I say? ‘Father, save me from this time’? No, for this is the reason I have come to this time. Father, glorify your name!" Then a voice came from heaven, “I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again" (John 12:24-28).
Reflection—Fr. Bryan Weekly Prayer List>>
May God the Father bless you, God the Son heal you, God the Holy Spirit give you strength. May God the holy and undivided Trinity guard your body, save your soul, and bring you safely to his heavenly country; where he lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen.
Let us bless the Lord. Thanks be to God.
