Shepherding St. Luke's: A Message from our Stewardship Co-Chairs

Dear St. Luke's Family,

We are pleased to serve as this year’s co-chairs for your stewardship committee in support of October’s annual season where we set aside time to focus on pledging financial support to our mission and ministries.  Annual pledges make everything we love about St. Luke’s possible.

A pledge is a statement of your commitment, faith, and gratitude for what God has given you.  We want to thank you for taking the time to prayerfully discern how you might honor your blessings in your annual pledge. Begin in prayer – ask God to guide you in this decision. Reflect on ways that you are blessed. Pray that your gift will be magnified by the Holy Spirit to support St. Luke’s mission in our community.

The current economic environment makes us all very sensitive to the possible difficulty in making a commitment if the upcoming year is full of unknowns.  We believe in families taking care of themselves, and in St. Luke’s families taking care of each other.

Your pledge should be realistic for you and can always be adjusted if your circumstances change by letting the treasurer or stewardship chairs know which helps with our church planning.  More importantly, if you are facing any personal or professional hardship, please reach out to our understanding clergy for pastoral care and support.

Thank you for being an important part of our St. Luke’s family and participating this year by filling out your commitment form.

God Bless,

Martha and Laura
