Thank You, Keilor! by Fr. Bryan Owen

Dear Friends in Christ,

It is with sadness that I write to share the news that Keilor Kastella’s tenure as our church pianist and organist has come to a close. His last Sunday with us will be June 28.

Keilor has been an integral part of the St. Luke’s music program for over 6 years. His talents as a uniquely gifted musician were quickly recognized by Dr. Ruby Dart who, at the time of her passing in 2017, had served as our organist for 52 years. It speaks volumes about Keilor’s talent and character that Dr. Dart took him under her wing and delegated responsibilities to him.

We have been blessed at St. Luke’s to have so many gifted musicians and choristers who make our worship soar into the heavens. Keilor has made an indelible contribution to that rich legacy. We will miss him not only as a fine musician whose playing moved our hearts, but also as a good person who has been a faithful member of our church family.

Moving forward, we welcome Zih-Yun Lin into our music ministry. Zih-Yun brings experience with both Roman Catholic and Anglican worship settings. She’s off to a good start as Keilor has had her play a number of pieces over the past several weeks during our live streaming services.

May God continue to bless the music ministry of St. Luke’s that so enriches our worship.

Yours in Christ,

Fr. Bryan
