On Sunday, September 13, from 9 until 12:45, the bus from OLOL will be at St. Luke’s. Donors are needed more than ever before, so please roll up your sleeves, and safe a life…or three!
This year, things will be a bit different, as a result of COVID. Appointments need to be made, every 15 minutes. The bus can have 4 donors at a time. Please click here to schedule your appointment>>
This will help keep all of us safe. And yes, you will need your mask.
If, however, you want to give at the last minute and have not made an appointment, you are quite welcome to join this life-giving effort. You never know when someone you love will need this irreplaceable gift.
Here is some information from our Tasha Braud-Jones, our liaison at OLOL about COVID and donations:
1. What if someone has had COVID? Can they donate? As long as they have been symptom free for 14 days, they are able to donate.
2. I see there is a request for plasma donations from those who have recovered from COVID. Can this donation happen on the bus? I (Tanya Braud-Jones) am desperately looking for these plasma donors. If you have anyone interested, please have them fill out the survey at https://is.gd/OLOL_Convalescent_Plasma. They can donate on the bus also but it takes approximately an hour to an hour and a half. If they are interested in donating on the bus at this drive, please have them contact me so that I can get them screened and set up an appointment time for them. They can call me at 225-963-0463.
And for the first time, donors will get a pint for a pint….Bluebell, that is!!
Thank you for keeping the gift of life flowing!
