The Reverend Canon Morgan MacIntire to serve as supply priest on Sunday, July 9, 2023, at St. Luke's

ABOUT:
The Reverend Canon Morgan MacIntire is a born and bred Louisiana Episcopalian hailing from Shreveport, Louisiana. She attended college at Rhodes in Memphis, TN, and left with a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies (cum laude) in 2004. Morgan then worked one year on staff at St. Mark’s Cathedral in Shreveport as the Communications Director, where she learned valuable skills for ministry, like how to prevent copier jams, update parish registers, and craft newsletters and Sunday bulletins. Then she and her husband, Angus, headed off to Alexandria, Virginia, where she completed her Masters in Divinity at Virginia Theological Seminary and where he added an MBA from George Washington University in DC to his resume. This year marks 15 years of ordained life for Morgan, now serving in her fourth call in the diocesan office as Bishop Shannon’s Canon to the Ordinary. Previously she served Trinity Episcopal Church in Manassas, VA, as the Associate for Youth and Young Adults, St. James Episcopal Church in Shreveport, LA, as the Rector and Christ Episcopal Church in Covington, LA, as the Associate Rector/Part-time School Chaplain. Morgan and Angus have three fantastic kiddos: Eleri (14), Eamon (12) and Eoin (10), who keep them on their toes! When she is not canon-ing, Morgan enjoys traveling with her family, spending time near water, reading, watching football and eating a good meal paired with just the right glass of wine! She is thrilled to have the opportunity to serve at St. Luke’s this Sunday and cannot wait to meet you all!
