Dear St. Luke’s Family:

It is with great joy that we announce the opening of “Holy Grounds”, a summer coffee-house at St. Luke’s (in familiar Pope Hall!). One thing I believe that we’ve all realized these past long months is that being in community, close community is important to us as a parish family. I’ve been told that it is this one thing that attracts others to our doors and to our hearts, and allows us to care for the world outside.

Each Sunday morning this summer, “Holy Grounds” will give us a place to gather and talk, share stories about the year that has past and maybe find that great joy that “sharing and caring” for each other has always brought to us. Hopefully, the simple act of having a bit of “breakfast” will re-open doors and hearts, as we return to being far more present – and far more together.

We’ll open the doors to HOLY GROUNDS around 9:00 and remain open until 11:45 or so after the later service. Pop in and out as you wish, grab a cup of “joe”, have a pastry – and just relax. This is our time to trade stories with friends – old and new and to share with others all that has happened this past year.

Don’t be a stranger – it’s time to “come home” to St. Luke’s. We miss you on our “grounds” and look so forward to seeing you and catching up to all that has gone on with you and yours.

Peace,
Margie
