What to Expect
at St. Luke’s Baton Rouge on Sunday mornings

NEW SERVICE TIMES of 8:45 am and 11:00 am BEGIN ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2021

Where are we?
8833 Goodwood Blvd. There’s plenty of parking right next to the church.

Welcome!
Stop by the welcome table on the porch for information on what’s going on at St. Luke’s, and fill out a form to tell us a little bit about you. There are also visitor cards in the pew if you’re in a rush. Drop these in the offertory plate so we can properly welcome you to St. Luke’s. Ushers will greet you and your family with a bulletin to easily follow along with the service.

Worship
Our worship services at St. Luke's follow The Book of Common Prayer, which can be found in the pews, and lasts about an hour. We have Holy Eucharist every Sunday, and all baptized Christians are welcome to receive communion.

We offer two worship services on Sunday mornings at 8:45 AM and 11:00 AM.
The 8:45 am service is a family-friendly service with contemporary language and music. Many of our young families regularly attend this service.
The 11:00 am service uses more traditional language. The music is traditional Anglican hymns with a full choir.  On special holy days, incense is used at this service.

Children
Children are always welcome at all church services.  There is a cry room in the back of the church if you need a quiet/private space with your little one. Busy bags are in the back of the church to entertain your little ones.
We have a welcoming nursery that is open 8:15-12:00 weekly for children ages 0-4. It’s located on the breezeway facing Goodwood Blvd.

Children’s Church is offered for kids ages 4-8 during the first half of the 8:45 service led by Sunday school teachers. They follow the banner during the procession to Pope Hall to hear an age-appropriate lesson. Don’t worry, they’ll be back to join you during announcements.

Sunday school is offered for all ages throughout the school year from 10:15 – 10:45 following fellowship in Pope Hall. A schedule and map of classes can be found in the back of the church. Ask an usher for help! All adults who interact with children have completed the “Safeguarding God’s Children” course.

Fellowship
Coffee, food, and fellowship are offered in Pope Hall after the 8:45 service.
